Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative takes care of over 75,000 electric meters and about 11,000 miles of power lines, located across more than 3,800 square miles within 14 Texas counties. A distribution cooperative, Bluebonnet purchases most of its power wholesale from the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA). The cooperative owns 19 substations and purchases power at 21 LCRA-owned substations.
