Rate Information

To understand your electric bill, it is helpful to understand how rates affect your bill. On your bill the Energy Charge plus PCRF (Power Cost Recovery Factor), equals your Total Charges.

The following example is for the residential rate:

The Energy Charge consists of:

Power Supply - (5.96 cents per kWh) - to purchase power

Wires Charge - (2.0753 cents per kWh) - electric system expenses

Customer Charge - ($17.50 per month) - monthly expense for each meter
(Meter expenses include meter reading, billing, payment processing, etc.)

The following equation shows how these elements add up to your Total Charges.

Power Supply = A
Wires Charge = B
Customer Charge = C
X = kWh used

AX + BX +C = Total Charges
