While Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative seeks to provide its members with the most affordable and reliable electric service possible, we recognize that our members may want to take advantage of other renewable generation sources. The Cooperative's goal is to work with the member to ensure that their generation equipment is installed in a proper and safe method and in accordance with all applicable codes, standards, regulations and insurance requirements.
Distributed Generation Interconnection and net metering are available to our members who choose to offset their electric energy provided by the Cooperative. An Agreement for Interconnection and Parallel Operation will need to be completed and signed by a member who intends to produce kwh for sale back to the Cooperative.
When installing an interconnection generation unit, the following requirements must be met to ensure system reliability and personnel safety. The following must be supplied by the member for approval by the Cooperative:
1. Distributed Generation Interconnect Worksheet (more)
2. Specifications for Interconnection with the utility grid (more)
3. A copy of the plans for the generation equipment
