| Here are a few frequently asked questions regarding
Bluebonnet's proxy voting system.
What are my options for voting on Bluebonnet's
business matters, including
the election of directors?
Members wishing to participate in the election of directors may attend the Bluebonnet Annual Meeting, held in Giddings, in May. If unable to attend the Annual Meeting, members can vote
by proxy.
What is proxy voting?
Proxy voting is a method that allows members to vote without being present. The process also allows members in all of Bluebonnet¹s service areas an equal chance to be heard.
How can I vote by proxy?
Each year, several months prior to the Annual Meeting, a proxy form is mailed to each member. Proxy forms also may be obtained at any Bluebonnet Member Service Center.
Members may assign their proxy to the Bluebonnet Proxy Committee, by simply signing and dating their proxy form. The committee will
vote on their behalf.
To assign their proxy to an individual, members may write that individual's name where indicated and sign and date the form. Completed proxy forms must be returned to Bluebonnet prior to the date published on the form.
Who serves on Bluebonnet's Proxy Committee?
The Proxy Committee is comprised of all Bluebonnet board members who are not currently up for re-election.
What if I send in my proxy form but then decide to
attend the Annual
Meeting?
When members who had already voted by proxy register at the meeting, their proxy is
revoked. Then they may
cast their ballot in person, as usual.
Will that proxy be used again at other meetings?
No. Each proxy is used only for the meeting specified on the proxy form.
Why should I vote by proxy if I can't attend the
Annual Meeting?
Voting by proxy allows members to express their opinion on the matters that come
before the membership, to have a say in the election of directors, and to enter the proxy prize drawing.
