LOCAL PAIGE WOMAN RUNNER-UP IN HOLIDAY RECIPE CONTEST

(Giddings, Texas) Donna Deteau of Paige Paige is a runner-up in the Texas Co-op Power Holiday Recipe Contest, sponsored by Pioneer Brand Products. She has won $500, and her recipe appeared in the December issue of Texas Co-op Power magazine. Her recipe for Chipotle Bean Burrito Cheese Tarts was one of five winners chosen from more than 800 entries. Texas Co-op Power is circulated to one million Texan households and businesses that receive their power from electric cooperatives. Deteau is a member of Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative.

Recipes had to include a Pioneer Brand Product, such as Pioneer Original Biscuit & Baking Mix. Pioneer Brand's Sales and Marketing Coordination Manager Julie Lyssy says: “As a company with its roots in Texas, Pioneer Brand is proud to sponsor the Texas Co-op Power Holiday Recipe Contest.
