Bluebonnet Continues to Repair Storm Damage

(GIDDINGS, TEXAS) Crews from Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative are continuing to respond to outages caused by the ice and freezing rain moving through Central Texas.

Approximately 1800 residences and businesses are without power at this time. Repairs are expected to be completed by 6:00 am for those currently without power. At this time the Bastrop and Brenham areas are experiencing most of the outages. In many instances, weakened trees and tree limbs fell on distribution lines. In other instances, the weight of the ice itself has made the lines sag or swing together.
