Bluebonnet's PORCHE — Primary Outage Response
Call Handling Equipment — system is ready to respond
during a power outage. This automated telephone system lets
us answer calls more quickly, and helps us organize and dispatch
crews and equipment more efficiently and effectively.
- With PORCHE, your telephone number is our connection to
you. If you've provided your correct telephone
number for our database, then when you call us to report
an unplanned outage, your number and location are automatically
reported.
- If the telephone number we have is not correct,
or if you don't have a touch-tone telephone, then the system
will prompt you to leave a voice message with your number
and location. You can also leave a voice message to report
downed lines, broken poles or other problems
- Once PORCHE has identified your number and location, our
dispatchers use this information to direct our crews by
two-way radio to the possible source of the problem.
- If the power outage is widespread, then you might get
a busy signal. Please be patient and if you see your
neighbor's lights go on and your power is still off, then
be sure to call us again.
- As electric service is restored, PORCHE might return your
call to ensure your power is restored.
